Mr. Ruppel is the co-founder and president of the Unity in Hope School System, a nonprofit organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty in Islamabad, Pakistan. Founded in 2019 to assist families living in extreme poverty, the non-denominational Christian schools are the only tuition-free institutions in the economically deprived areas of Iqbal Town, Islamabad. Members of all faiths and traditions are welcome. The organization also includes a Community Center that offers business start-up micro-loans, tutoring, a computer lab and many other community services. The organization receives no government assistance and is totally reliant on philanthropic support. Mr. Ruppel and all the management team take no compensation, and the organizational finances are managed in the United States; they are available to anyone upon request.
With economic deprivation forcing families to survive amid disease, malnutrition, illiteracy and poverty, children come of age with no educational opportunity. The Unity in Hope School System was founded to address this problem. Equipped with a steadfast mission to help children and their families thrive in the wake of religious discrimination in education, housing and employment, the organization accepts donations that directly impact the lives of each student. In addition to providing a high-quality education, they also provide their only access to clean water, nutritious food, and uniforms and backpacks.
