Such an experience was foundational, offering her firsthand insights into patient care and the health care industry, and it was during this time that she recognized the importance of compassionate and high-quality care for those in need, which later inspired her to start her own agency.
Ms. Newman's commitment to excellence in health care is further evidenced by her active membership in several industry-related organizations. She is a member of the Oregon Health Authority, the Oregon Board of Pharmacy, and the Oregon State Board of Nursing. These affiliations keep her abreast of changes and advancements within the health care sector and thereby ensure that her business practices remain compliant and cutting-edge. In addition to her professional endeavors and involvement, Ms. Newman continues to grow her knowledge and is actively pursuing a Bachelor of Science in healthcare administration.
Outside of working toward her degree, Ms. Newman holds several certifications that have been pivotal to her success, including licensure by the Oregon Health Authority, a durable medical equipment license from the Oregon Board of Pharmacy, and certification as a certified nursing assistant. These achievements and certifications have equipped her with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in her field and contribute significantly to her community. Beyond her professional life, Ms. Newman serves as the executive director of Kindred Connection Foundation Inc., a position she has held since 2022, which allows her to extend her impact beyond her business operations by engaging in civic-minded initiatives that benefit the broader community.
Not only is Ms. Newman a successful business owner and community-minded individual but also a dedicated mother to three daughters and one son, all of whom have pursued professions in health care and community safety and service. Outside of her involvement in health care, she enjoys designing jewelry—a creative outlet that complements her entrepreneurial spirit and first equipped her with an insight into business ownership.
