Before joining Ecopetrol US, Mr. Palagi spent five years at Marathon Petroleum Corporation. Initially taking on the role of a Senior Trader from 2020 to 2023, he was responsible for significant results before moving into international business development. Underpinning his dedication and persistence throughout his career, Mr. Palagi notably had the opportunity to present at the ICIS World Base Oils and Lubricants Conference in New York, the most prestigious event in this industry.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Palagi earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 1992. He later pursued a Master of Business Administration with a focus on marketing from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, graduating in 1998.
