Prior to his current role, Mr. Williams was a technical enablement lead at Google from 2020 to 2023, where he worked on cloud computing and learning development for cloud consultants. He trained internal consultants in Google Cloud, contributing to the development of innovative programs that earned his team two Stratosphere Awards. From 2016 to 2020, he served as a TEALS regional program manager at TEALSK12, leading over 50 vendors and 4,000 students toward enriching their futures in computer science. Additionally, as an independent consultant from 2013 to 2020, he provided learning and development consulting services across various organizations.
Mr. Williams' journey in technology began at Microsoft, where he held multiple roles from 2005 to 2012. Starting as a business manager and web platform architect evangelist before becoming a program manager, he played a pivotal role in numerous projects that leveraged his expertise in data center operations, a skillset further honed during his tenure as senior manager of data center operations at Interland Inc. from 1999 to 2005. His foundational experiences were shaped by his service as a sergeant in the United States Air Force from 1992 to 1999, which instilled in him a disciplined approach to both leadership and teamwork.
Mr. Williams' success is underpinned by a solid educational foundation. He earned a Master of Business Administration from Kennesaw State University in 2004 and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in management and computer and information sciences and support services from Park University in 1999. His commitment to continuous learning is evidenced by several certifications, including recognition as a Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect and Certified Cloud Practitioner by Amazon Web Services Inc.
Outside his professional endeavors, Mr. Williams is deeply committed to civic engagement. He has been involved with international missions and refugee programs in Austria and supports missions aiding Ukrainian, Indian and Middle Eastern refugees. His dedication to making a difference extends beyond borders, reflecting his compassionate worldview. In his personal life, Mr. Williams finds joy in running, working out at the gym, and spending quality time with his wife and children.
