Ms. Beaver opened Moonflower, a boutique specializing in one-of-a-kind jewelry, clothing, incense, accessories and exotic imports, at the age of 17. Some of Moonflower's products are obtained overseas by fair trade while other items such as bracelets and necklaces are handcrafted and made-to-order by Aimee. Moonflower boasts its own clothing line and its aromatherapy products are certified organic. The shop also specializes in rock memorabilia and carries a huge variety of merchandise including Bob Marley and Grateful Dead T-shirts, Tye Dye products, and original local artwork. Now 34 years old, Aimee has acquired a lifetime's worth of experience in managing operations, including supervising staff and dealing with various companies and boutiques. She opened an alternative boutique because she wanted an outlet for her own products, and is proud to have gone into business for herself at such a young age and kept it profitable. She attributes her success to her creativity and perseverance.

A member of the Chester County Peace Movement, the West Chester Business Improvement District, her local Chamber of Commerce, Earth First! and Code Pink, Ms. Beaver looks forward to developing her business further by launching her own website and traveling to purchase unique, exotic materials.
