- Rigby, ID, July 11, 2008, AJ Jaques, (Hunter), Owner, Director, and Occupational Therapist of Innovative Therapy has been recognized by
Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of occupational therapy.
Ms. Jaques has 14 years of professional experience, eight of which have been in her current position. Her expertise lies in designing and implementing individualized programs of sensory integration, aquatic programs, behavioral programs, and hippotherapy (a treatment where a therapist uses a horse's movement to provide carefully graded sensory input for each client as needed).
Ms. Jaques considers helping patients and making a difference in their lives to be the most fulfilling aspect of her career. Her greatest professional accomplishment was providing hippotherapy in Rexburg, ID. She became involved in her profession after being seriously injured in a major car accident. During her rehabilitation, she discovered a renewed appreciation for life and wanted to help those less fortunate, which led to the establishment of Innovative Therapy.
Ms. Jaques received her Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from Colorado State University in 1993 and holds an Associate Degree in Equine Science. She is affiliated with IOTA (Idaho Occupational Therapy Association), AOTA (American Occupational Therapy Association), AHA (American Hippotherapy Association), AQHA (American Quarter Horse Association), and NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association). She devotes her spare time volunteering with local church and client activities.
