WEST HILLS, CA, October 8, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Alen N. Cohen, Physician and Head and Neck Surgeon at C/V ENT Surgical Group, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of otolaryngology/head and neck surgery.

With more than seven years of professional experience in medicine, Dr. Cohen specializes in otolaryngology and performing head and neck surgery. He is responsible for performing minimally invasive and image-guided sinus, head and neck and facial surgeries, as well as treating patients with sleep apnea and voice disorders.

In addition to his work with C/V ENT Surgical Group, Dr. Cohen is also an assistant clinical professor of surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California Los Angeles. He feels proud to be one among a few surgeons in the country who specializes in minimally invasive thyroid and parathyroid surgery. He focuses on the importance of combining function and cosmesis in the surgical management of patients with various head and neck disorders, including tumors. As such, he was recently named Director of the Minimally Invasive Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery Program at West Hills Medical Center.

Dr. Cohen completed his residency in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery at the University of California Los Angeles Medical Center in 2007 and received his MD from the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California Los Angeles in 2001. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, as well as a member of the American Rhinologic Society and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
