/Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Alicia A. Castillo, First Sergeant of the U.S. Army, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of military service.
Ms. Castillo has 20 years of experience in the U.S. Army. Promoted to First Sergeant in 2005, she works with the Army Transportation Corps, where she performs administrative tasks, trains soldiers, and deals with various issues. Ms. Castillo considers having the opportunity to travel and enlarge her capacities through diverse experiences to be the most gratifying aspect of a military career. She is also proud to continue her family's tradition of military service alongside her older brother, a Commander Sergeant Major in the U.S. Army, and her younger brother, a U.S. Navy Lieutenant. She attributes her success to her drive to move forward and the support that she receives from the people around her.
Certified to work in the Army Transportation Corps, Ms. Castillo recently completed training at the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, which is the highest degree of education that she can complete as a non-commissioned officer. Additionally, she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology in 2009 from Excelsior College. She is a member of the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club and the Transportation Corps Regimental Association. In her spare time, she does volunteer work for disabled children, seniors, and the homeless. Ms. Castillo aspires to move to Germany for her next assignment.
