Amanda Hulver Inducted into the Cambridge Who's Who Registry

    GARDEN CITY, NY, May 2, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Amanda Hulver, Executive Chef for Franklin Avenue Cafe, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of culinary arts.

With 10 years of professional experience, Amanda Hulver specializes in preparing Italian cuisine, providing stellar customer service, and managing the operations of a corporate dining room, which includes preparing up to 600 meals a day, supervising the kitchen, creating menus, processing payroll, ordering, overseeing plating design and making executive decisions on menu direction and staff scheduling and management issues. She started her career as a food server and quickly rose to the position of line cook. In 2004, a colleague recognized her talent and recommended her for a sous chef position at the Engel Burman Group within the Bristal Senior Living Facility. Her abilities later earned her the position of executive chef for the competition's lower Manhattan complex, where she was the youngest female executive chef on record. After receiving much press for her natural culinary talents, she was again requested by the Engel Burman Group. Ms. Hulver attributes her success to the support she receives from her family, friends, and her love and dedication to food.

Ms. Hulver attended Shenandoah University's Music Therapy Program. She became a certified food service director through The Art Institute of New York and received the Gold Award from the Girl Scouts of the United States of America and the Good Citizen Citation from the United States House of Representatives.
