-- Laura Robinson, Trust Director of Cape Town Heritage, has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in heritage conservation.
With a passion for heritage architecture, Ms. Robinson pursued a bachelor's degree in architecture at the University of Cape Town, earning it in 1980. Now an architect and heritage specialist, she serves as the trust director for Cape Town Heritage Trust, a nonprofit organization that provides conservation and enhancement of the man-made and natural environment. She holds expertise in heritage conservation and cultural landscape, skills she applies to developing strategic direction and policies, managing office administration and assessing planning applications.
Ms. Robinson has 30 years of experience and was recently inducted into Worldwide Branding. She also maintains affiliation with the Cape Institute for Architecture, ICOMOS International, and Docomomo International. She attributes her success to passion, and having been lucky enough to have opportunities presented to her and taking advantage of them at the right time. As the years progress, she plans to consolidate her position and work on an international level.
