The West Toronto Waterfront area is located directly on the lake, is an eight minute drive to Downtown Toronto, and a 12 minute drive to the airport. A Humber Bay Butterfly Habitat was created in addition to the waterfront paths linking to the Martin Goodman Trail, and the 300 km Ontario Greenway Waterfront Trail.
The Humber Bay Shores has become a popular destination for people who want to enjoy its landscape, butterfly habitat garden, and breathtaking views of Lake Ontario and downtown Toronto's skyline. This spectacular location has developed into one of the most exciting waterfront neighbourhoods in the Greater Toronto Area.
The community began at Humber River with the iconic Palace Pier, which is still considered as one of the most luxurious condos in Toronto. This was followed by Palace Place, Nevis, Grenadier Landing, Waterford, and Newport Beach, representing the first wave of developments. Monarch has since led the way with five buildings: Voyager, Explorer, Nautilus, Waterscapes, and Lago. A bit further West, Graywood Developments (the developer of the Ritz Carlton) has designed the luxurious Ocean Club. Then there is the Jade and Waterways Conservatory Group, all of which has developed over 4500 residential units just West of Brookers Lane and East of Parklawn. On the West side of Parklawn and the North side of Lake Shore, Onni has created a $500 million residential and commercial community called Westlake. Next to it is Key West and South Beach. Then there is Beyond The Sea, which has created its own neighbourhood on the South-West side of Mimico Creek, with 847 residential units and commercial space.
