To receive a fellowship or mastership award from the Academy of General Dentistry, there are several requirements that dentists have to meet. First, a dentist needs to have been a member in good standing of the AGD for at least three years. 500 hours of approved continuing education courses must also be completed. Finally, dentists are required to pass a comprehensive exam in order to receive a fellowship.
