Argeron's founder, Samantha Howard, said: "I began this business 10 years ago with the sole purpose of providing excellent design services at reasonable prices, and it has become so much more than that. Five years ago, we were looking for a way to give back to our nationwide community for the holidays, so we decided to hold a sweepstakes for a free web design."
The first sweepstakes began the fall of 2005, and had about 150 entries. In subsequent years, there has been an overwhelming response; fall 2009 had a final count of nearly 20,000.
"Our website went down twice in a week," said Ms. Howard, "due to the sheer amount of people visiting and entering. We're definitely more prepared this year!"
The winner will receive a website design package that includes a custom website with search engine optimization, site tracking, and a content management system; a Facebook page; a Twitter page; and 2 years of free website maintenance. The design package is valued at $6,000. The contest ends December 15th, and the winner is chosen Christmas Day.
