To lead the company's expansion efforts in Charleston, Kevin Wadley has been hired as the division's vice president of land acquisition. In his position, which marks the first and major step in kicking off the start of the new Charleston division, Wadley will be responsible for identifying specific acquisition opportunities that meet the division's strategic goals, managing the land acquisition department responsibilities, including department operations, budgets, staff development and oversight, and supervising all land acquisition escrows and title work in Charleston. Additionally, he will be responsible for locating, researching, negotiating, purchasing and overseeing development of new locations.Wadley has more than 12 years of experience in the real estate and home-building industry. Prior to joining Ashton Woods Homes Charleston, he served in a number of other land acquisition positions with other National builders in the Charleston area.
During the division's development process, Ashton Woods Homes - Charleston will be overseen be Hampton Pitts, executive vice president. Pitts, who previously served as the Ashton Woods Homes Raleigh division president, directed the company's expansion into the North Carolina market and oversaw operations, managed employees and developed key strategies for the firm's continued growth and success in that state.
