SURPRISE, AZ, October 19, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Barbara Gail Brandt, Staff Nurse for Sun Valley Lodge, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in nursing.

Through 40 years of experience as a staff nurse for Sun Valley Lodge, Ms. Brandt specializes in nursing. On a daily basis, she administers sufficient care to the residents of the retirement community, which offers assisted living for the elderly. Throughout her career, she has served as an office nurse and as a head nurse in an urgent care unit, a general hospital and a geriatric care facility. She also served as a daytime clinical supervisor at a medical treatment 229-bed facility.

Ms. Brandt completed coursework at St. Vincent's School of Nursing in 1962. A member of the Doris Day Animal League, she attributes her success to her family's support. In the future, she intends to continue helping others.
