BOUSVAL, BELGIUM, January 28, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/
-- Jean Luc Gustin, Chief Executive Officer of Gustin & Co, has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in Consulting.
Mr. Gustin has 25 years of professional experience, having recently become the CEO of Gustin & Co. He is a trusted business advisor to CEOs, and serves as the behind-the-scenes strength for these executives. Mr. Gustin's other strengths include telecom, media, technology, and business operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. On a daily basis, he is responsible for leading his private consulting boutique.
Mr. Gustin started as an audit staff at Arthur Andersen in 1986. He worked for four years in the audit division and in 1990, he joined AT&T Europe in a finance manager capacity. He supported a business development team responsible of an M&A budget of U.S. $1 billion a year. In 1994, he was re-hired by Andersen to develop the telecom and media consulting practice for Belgium first and then for Europe. He became partner in 1997 and was transferred to Deloitte in 2002. In 2005, Mr. Gustin was hired as personal advisor to the CEO of SES (Societe Europeenne des Satellites), the largest satellite network operator in the world. Since June 2012, Mr. Gustin has run his own private consulting practice.
Mr. Gustin's success as an advisor to managers and members of government originates from a deep understanding of the commercial, regulatory and technological issues at play in the telecom sector globally. Mr. Gustin joined Andersen Business Consulting as a young graduate and worked effectively within the company to reach a partnership position. His involvement with telecom and media customers dates back to the early 90s at a time when the sector was deregulated in the Western World. Since the early 2000s, he has been involved globally in some trendsetting work in the industry. Mr. Gustin's most significant achievement in his career has been the lead of a significant sector transformation program of the whole telecom sector in CIS. The project lasted more than three years, involved hundreds of consultants and lawyers, and led to the consolidation of 89 local telecom operators into seven regional operators and to a complete redesign of the regulatory framework in CIS.
Mr. Gustin received an executive MBA in executive training, global telecoms and IT training from INSEAD in 1995, having also earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and general studies from Universite de Liège in 1986. In years to come, Mr. Gustin will find another big challenge to which he can apply his talent.
