LOS ANGELES, CA, January 19, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Iconic sport helmet brand Bell is partnering with American Rebel Public Relations to promote Bell's new collection of t-shirts and apparel launching this spring. The new line draws on the company's extensive graphic and cultural legacy, from early American auto and motorcycle racing through modern day action sports.

"Our archives contain a treasure trove of marks, icons and graphics that reflect the culture of racing, performance and competition which Bell helped enable," said Bell Director of Marketing Don Palermini. "We see a lot of apparel in the marketplace aping the nostalgic motorsports aesthetic with no real roots...we thought it was time to offer something authentic."

Bell is counting on American Rebel PR to help leverage the apparel move and amplify the brand's core helmet business and positioning. The agency will provide strategic advisement as well as help increase brand awareness and consumer engagement through media and blogger relations, events, and celebrity product placement. American Rebel PR will also showcase Bell apparel and key helmets in its on-site Hollywood showroom.

"We are really excited about this new partnership," says Chris Detert, CEO of American Rebel PR. "Bell is an iconic, household name and a premier brand in motor and action sports, so we are honored that they have aligned forces with us."

Bell founder and motorsports pioneer Roy Richter invented the modern sport helmet in the workshop of his automotive speed shop in the Los Angeles suburb of Bell, Calif. Back in 1954. His invention spawned an entire industry which evolved to include all manner of motor and action sport helmets—auto, motorcycle and bicycling primary among them. Sixty years later, Bell remains the "Choice of Professionals," protecting champion Supercross motorcyclists, Formula 1 drivers and World Cup mountain bikers alike. A democratic idea from the start, the Bell story is told equally well by everyday people as it is by the legends of Evel Knievel, Mario Andretti and Dave Mirra.

American Rebel PR is a full-service public relations, marketing, branding, and events firm. American Rebel PR has become one of the most in-demand firms in Hollywood because of its distinctive and pioneering expertise in the fashion and lifestyle arenas, providing an overall fresh approach to an otherwise predictable business.
