BOCA RATON, FL, February 02, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/
-- Dr. Daniel Kovacs of South Florida's Schuster Plastic Surgery (www.schusterplasticsurgery.com
) recently earned board certification in the medical specialty. Dr. Kovacs began practicing alongside Dr. Steven Schuster, another board-certified plastic surgeon, in August 2012, when he relocated to the area from New York. The pair now jointly operate their plastic surgery practice
in Boca Raton.
Certification by The American Board of Plastic Surgery is a rigorous process that involves both written and oral exams to test a candidate's knowledge in a variety of scenarios related to the field. Although a plastic surgeon may practice medicine without being board certified, the achievement is, for many, the last hurdle on the long process of medical education and training.
"Board certification is a major milestone in the career of any plastic surgeon," Dr. Schuster says. "I'm pleased to have Dr. Kovacs on board at my practice, and I'm happy to offer another excellent option for patients researching plastic surgeons in or around Boca Raton."
Dr. Kovacs was educated and trained in the Northeast. After earning his undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania and medical degree at New York Medical College, he completed a general surgery residency. He then went on to complete a dedicated plastic surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
In Florida, Dr. Kovacs performs a range of both reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery procedures including breast enhancement, body contouring, and facial procedures. Dr. Kovacs has undergone extensive training in facial reconstruction, breast reconstruction, and specialized wound care. In addition to his surgical experience, Dr. Kovacs is also trained in the administration of non-surgical injectable treatments including BOTOX Cosmetic.
"I'm so excited to offer my services as a now board-certified plastic surgeon
in the Boca Raton community," Dr. Kovacs says. "Since I joined the practice in 2012, Dr. Schuster, his staff, and our patients have been warm and welcoming and have made the transition easy."
Dr. Kovacs says the certification process wasn't easy, and he is proud to have achieved the status for his patients.
"It's very satisfying to be able to give some of that back to them with my board certification," he says. "Our patients can find peace of mind knowing that I'm fully qualified and that their good results and safety are my top priority."
