-- Brad J. Holtzinger, Chief Executive Officer of Tortuga Pacific, Inc., has been recognized by Worldwide Branding for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in negotiating and licensing.
Mr. Holtzinger has 30 years of experience in the industry, with a year in his current role. He has built an expertise in technology licensing and negotiation skills. In his current role, he focuses on obtaining new clients, primarily high-technology software and semiconductor companies, and overseeing business development.
Prior to joining Tortuga Pacific and while working for MIPS Technologies, Mr. Holtzinger led worldwide sales operations and business development efforts. Prior to MIPS, he held the position of chief executive officer for many privately funded and venture-backed startup companies. He also founded the OEM Systems Division for Force Computers.
He actually began his professional career with Motorola as an embedded hardware and software design engineer. He also authored the Motorola Technical Training class on Unix System V, and served as an instructor at the University of California, Berkeley. Mr. Holtzinger is laying the foundation to make Tortuga Pacific a huge success.
Mr. Holtzinger's success is largely attributed to using his technology background and ability to learn about new industries and technologies quickly. He also credits his communication skills. His prior experience as vice president of worldwide sales at MIPS Technologies, where one of his most notable accomplishments was negotiating the sale and licensing of the MIPS patent assets to Bridge Crossing for $350 million and the sale of MIPS Technologies to Imagination Technologies for an additional $100 million has set his career on a prosperous upswing.
A graduate of Purdue University, Mr. Holtzinger earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering. He was recently inducted into Worldwide Branding.
