LAKEWOOD, CA, September 24, 2009 /Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Brian J. Barham, Professional Musician, Piano Instructor and Music Composer, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in music performance and instruction.

Mr. Barham has enjoyed a rich 20-year career in the music industry as a performer, teacher and composer. Currently the manager of his own studio, he oversees recording sessions and gives piano lessons to students of all ages and diverse musical inclinations, including rock, pop, jazz, blues, classical, R&B and country. Deeply aware of the influence that his own mentors had on him, Mr. Barham always works to relate to his pupils and make a difference in their lives.

Throughout his career, Mr. Barham has played keyboard for Jennifer Batten (Guitarist for Michael Jackson) and recorded with The Raspberries on their "Refreshed" CD released in 2000. He recorded his own CD "Magic Potion"- dedicating it to the victims (and heroes) of the 9/11 attacks. He has composed music for Short Films, Theme Music for Radio Programs, as well as TV Commercials. Mr. Barham is also an aspiring writer who has published two poems, "The Gift," and "Magic Potion" (an excerpt from the lyrics of his song). He attributes his success to growing up in a family of musicians and artists; his mother was a classical pianist, his father a writer and radio announcer; his grandfather a church organist,; his uncle, music composer George Tremblay; and his cousin eminent ballerina Cynthia Gregory.

Mr. Barham aspires to compose music for a major film. He is currently working on a new CD, and is also in the process of writing his first novel.
