/Worldwide Who's Who/ -- Passionate about helping others, Brian Taylor began his health care career as a U.S. Navy Corpsman and spent several years as a paramedic in San Diego, California on the technical aspects of health care. Mr. Taylor has dedicated more than 41 years of exceptional service and continues to go above and beyond the call of duty. He is currently holds the post of director of Ambulatory, Rehabilitation and Pulmonary Services at the Sharp Grossmont Hospital. Mr. Taylor has vast clinical experience and is an expert in health care operations management and process improvement. In his daily duties, he oversees the David and Donna Long Center for cancer treatment, oncology administration, endoscopy and special procedures, the ambulatory infusion center, vascular access services, hyperbaric medicine, the wound healing center, the oncology data center, rehabilitative physical therapy services, pulmonary services' sleep disorder center, the hand clinic, and occupational, recreational and speech therapy.
To keep abreast of his industry, Mr. Taylor is affiliated with various institutions including the Louisville Chamber of Commerce, Board of Examiners, Quality Council, State of Kentucky, Association of Community Cancer Centers and serves as a board member for the San Diego Organization of Healthcare Leaders the local chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
An ardent volunteer, he previously served as the chairman for the Komen San Diego Race for the Cure, Susan G. Komen for the Cure in 2008-2009 and also on the Leadership Council for the Border Sierra Region, American Cancer Society in 2007 and 2005. Mr. Taylor also volunteers at the San Diego County Breast Health Coalition Council and Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society.
For his diligence, he has been bestowed with numerous awards including the Leader of the Month Award from the Sharp Grossmont Hospital in 2008; the Center of Recognized Excellence Team Award for Quality, Frontline Nursing Leadership Program from Sharp Grossmont Hospital in 2008.
