The Forum is an organization of top law firms from across the United States with a mission of promoting the advancement of the legal profession.

The selection process includes an independent research team reviewing all law firm nominations to The Forum. Law firms are chosen based on the trial results, professional achievements and the influence of the firm's attorneys. Butler, Wooten & Fryhofer, LLP was selected for inclusion in the 2014 Forum based on the reputation of its attorneys and their professional excellence in advocating for the rights of those harmed by the negligent, wrongful and intentional misconduct of persons or businesses throughout the United States.

In the past year, the law firm:
- Reached a $161.7 million settlement with six banks in a whistleblower lawsuit alleging mortgage fraud against American veterans as well as secured the ability to move forward with litigation against two holdout banks, Wells Fargo and MIC.
- Settled a $5.3 million trucking accident case.
- Obtained a $2.5 million jury verdict in a wrongful death case involving the failure to properly secure a patient during non-emergency transport.
- Secured a substantial but confidential settlement with accounting firm KPMG related to its sale of illegal tax shelters on behalf of a client who was forced to pay nearly $300 million in back taxes, fees and fines to the IRS because of the fraudulent tax scheme.

In addition to these notable results by the exceptional trial lawyers of Butler, Wooten & Fryhofer, LLP, the firm was honored by the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association as the 2013 recipient of the Guardian of Justice Award. This award is the highest honor given annually by GTLA and recognizes the work that Butler, Wooten & Fryhofer, LLP has done to protect "[T]he Constitutional promise of justice for all by guaranteeing the right to trial by jury, preserving an independent judiciary, and providing access to the courts for all Georgians."

Members of the firm have served on the Board of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, as a member of the Board of Regents and Chair of the University System of Georgia, and as a member of the Board of the Georgia Ports Authority.

In 2013, the Georgia-based law firm of Butler, Wooten & Fryhofer, LLP celebrated 25 years advocating for the rights of injured parties in Georgia and throughout the United States.
