During the course, which is based on the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) Revised Standard for Powered Industrial Truck Operator Training, participants will review the formal, or classroom, section of the required forklift training to learn how to become an effective instructor. Additionally, participants will discuss the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) organizational expectations and record keeping requirements. -"The Basics of Self-Funded Health Plans" is a free three-hour seminar that will cover the basics of self-funded health plans against the backdrop of healthcare reform, examining common terminology and disadvantages to self-funding. During the seminar, attendees will learn the risks and potential rewards of self-funding and the key differences of self-funded plans from fully-insured plans. Additionally, attendees will learn about the different types of stop loss coverage and reinsurance contracts, and what types of pitfalls to avoid when self-funding. At the end of the seminar, participants will be able to determine whether self-funding is the right approach for their business.
