BROOKINGS, OR, August 12, 2010, Sandi A. Lawson, CEO of Perry Lawson and Associates, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Business Consulting. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

Drawing on 40 years of business experience, Sandi A. Lawson is recognized for excellence in strategic marketing, business planning, product development and the creation of cost-effective consumer promotion programs. In addition to overseeing the daily operations of Perry Lawson and Associates, she is tasked with creating new business models and programs. Ms. Lawson founded Perry Lawson and Associates with her retired business partner, Marshall Perry in 1988. After his retirement, the firm earned certification from the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

Prior to her involvement with Perry Lawson and Associates, Ms. Lawson enjoyed 18 years with the Clorox Company. The experience, she says, provided her with invaluable lessons about operations in the business community. She also served on the Promotion Marketing Association of America Board of Directors from 1977 to 1988 as well as the Board of the Association for Corporate Growth (SF Chapter) during the 1990s. Additionally, Ms. Lawson co-authored the "Sales Promotion Handbook," alongside several faculty members at Northwestern University.

Ms. Lawson has achieved a number of career highlights over the years and considers her contributions to green community initiatives to be particularly rewarding. In fact, she created green4communities , a cooperative marketing program dedicated to replacing plastic bags at retailer locations with 100% certified biodegradable and compostable bags. These bags are recycled by schools resulting in G4C funding school programs throughout each school year. Ms. Lawson notes that she and green4communites are currently seeking major advertisers and a national retailer to participate in the program.

Ms. Lawson holds an associate degree in business from Chabot College, earned in 1970. She's currently a member of the ASTRA marketing committee and the Leadership Forum Committee. For the third year, Perry Lawson and Associates has been selected as one of the Top 500 Emerging Businesses in the U.S. by Diversity Business.com PLA has distinguished themselves as one of the top businesses in the country and most deserving of this award and recognition. Ms. Lawson was named Cambridge Publishing's Executive of the Year representing Business Consulting -- an honor reserved for the registry's most distinguished and accomplished members.
