HAMBURG, PA, January 26, 2012 /Cambridge Who's Who/ -- David W. Fisher, Artist Blacksmith at Fisher Forge LLC, has been named a Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Specialty Product Design & Manufacturing. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

Mr. Fisher has worked as an artist blacksmith at Fisher Forge LLC for 19 years. He has a total of 29 years of field experience and has perfected his skills in customizing railings and gates. Additionally, Mr. Fisher holds extensive knowledge of antique reproductions and hardware. His daily responsibilities include designing, forging and conducting installations as well as communicating with customers to provide them with high-quality service. He became involved in his profession when he began restoring his farmhouse and had the opportunity to develop his forging skills. Before establishing his business, he worked as a product design engineer, production manager and plant manager. He earned an associate degree in mechanical design from Lincoln Technical Institute in 1982.

An inductee to the Hamburg Fine Arts Hall of Fame, Mr. Fisher has his work featured in numerous magazines. He is a member of the Artist-Blacksmiths' Association of North America Inc. and a juried member of the Reading Berks Chapter of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen.
