MIDDLEBURG, PA, January 6, 2009 /Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Carolyn Arndt, Retired Special Education Teacher from the Midd-West School District, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of special education.

With an impressive background that spans 34 years of professional experience in education, Ms. Arndt's expertise lies in transition coordination. At her post, she was responsible for teaching special education, English and mathematics to 11th and 12th-grade students, ensuring standard classroom settings and accompanying students to regular education classes. It was not uncommon for Ms. Arndt to take her students on social and vocational field trips. She is especially proud that most of her students were able to develop a good work ethic by being successful in their vocational studies. Hard work, dedication and caring nature towards her students were the driving forces that brought her success throughout her illustrious career.

Ms. Arndt received her Bachelor of Science in Special Education and Regular Education (K-8) from Bloomsburg State College in 1973. A certified teacher in Pennsylvania, she is a former vice president of the Midd-West Education Association. She is a member of Middleburg Kiwanis, the Susquehanna Valley Civil War Round Table, the Mt. Pleasant Mills Fire Company, the Richfield Fire Company, the Richfield Ambulance League, the Pennsylvania State Education Association, and the National Education Association. She is the secretary of the Richfield Fire Company Auxiliary, president of the Snyder County Historical Society and a supporter of the Juniata Mennonite Historical Society.
