    HAMSHIRE, TX, February 13, 2009 /Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Carolyn Hurych, Emergency Medical Services Coordinator with the Hamshire Volunteer Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of Emergency Medical Services.

Ms. Hurych has 10 years of professional experience, seven of which have been as an emergency medical services coordinator with Hamshire Volunteer Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services. At her post, she is responsible for overseeing emergency medical personnel and responding to emergency medical service calls. Inspired by the desire to help others, she became involved in her profession. Compassion, hard work and dedication are the keys to her success.

Prior to joining the Hamshire Volunteer Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services, Ms. Hurych was a caregiver at St. Mary's Hospital and assisted in the care of their first open-heart surgery patient. She volunteers with the Labelle Fannett Volunteer Fire Department and Emergency Medical Service and is also employed by Winnie-Stowell EMS.

A certified emergency medical technician I, a certified respiratory therapist and a certified cardiopulmonary technician, Ms. Hurych received her Bachelor of Science from Lamar University. She is the chairwoman of the Committee on Ways and Means. She is a supporter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Boy Scouts of America and Faith United Methodist Church. She is a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award from the Boy Scouts of America and the Community Service Award from The Christian Ministerial Alliance.
