Catherine R. Timm Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Art

    ONTARIO, CANADA, March 15, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Catherine R. Timm, Founder and Artist for Creative Custom Quilting and Fiber Art, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in the art industry.

For all of her life, Ms. Timm has been passionate about, and dedicated to, the arts. With a breadth of experience in the field, she began using fiber and mixed media to create unique and innovate art pieces. In 2001, Ms. Timm founded Creative Custom Quilting and Fiber Art, an art studio focused on fiber, stitch, paper, paint, wire, and bead materials for creating landscapes and abstract work. As owner of the company, she utilizes textiles and mixed media to create art. In doing so, Ms. Timm draws from various sources of inspiration such as the wilds of Canada, Quilting Arts magazine, and Ontario Craft Council Studio publication.

Drawing on her educational background, which includes studies at Ontario College of Art and Design, Ms. Timm has become an expert in her field. She juried into Studio Art Quilt Associates Creative Force, was part of an exhibition at the International Quilt Festival, and showed her work at Gerald R. Ford Museum in Grand Rapids, Michigan. To date, her most outstanding career achievement was entering her first juried art show and winning Best in Category and Best in Show. Ms. Timm feels her unparalleled level of success can be best attributed to her unwavering passion for art. In the coming years, she seeks to build brand awareness for Creative Custom Quilting and Fiber Art studio through networking and consulting.

Ms. Timm is professionally affiliated with the Studio Art Quilt Associates, Ontario Craft Council, Valley Arts Council, and TAFA. She is also an avid supporter of local art galleries and theaters. In her free time, she enjoys walking her 260 acre woodlands, traveling, and completing workshops with well-known mixed media artists.
