    SUNSHINE BEACH, QLD, AUSTRALIA, November 22, 2009 /Stanford Who's Who/-- Meg E. Lawrence has been recognized by Stanford Who's Who for her diligence and commitment to the Arts and Cultural Community. As Chairman of the NOOSA Federation of the Arts Inc. since 1989, Lawrence has demonstrated the amazing ability to lead the prestigious program.

The purpose of NFOTA is to be represented as a desirable cultural destination by presenting high caliber national and international artists and performers at a manageable price. They have constructed an exceptional combination of elegance and affordability. This elite community of the arts is involved in presenting extraordinary performances which include Jazz, Grand Opera, Theatre Restaurant, Art Exhibitions and various Competitions.

Each year NOOSA produces a vocal competition leading to the presentation of the Dame Joan Sutherland Award. It is a competition which affords visitors as well as members of the NOOSA community the opportunity to witness five young, budding Opera Singers from Queensland contend for the coveted prize.

They also present the Rick Farbach Scholarship for a Young Jazz Musician each November. The title has been awarded for the last 9 years to a final year student from the Immanuel Lutheran College.

Meg was honored with the distinction of 2004 Citizen of the Year for Council.
