Mr. Lake has over 35 years of professional experience in the family business and is responsible for managing day-to-day operations, which include financial management, importing, supervising employees, overseeing all accounting practices, purchasing, IT systems and 401k plans. Auto Bumper Exchange, Inc. is a wholesale automotive body parts distribution company and was started in 1957 by his grandfather. Mr. Lake joined the company in 1976 and is now a partner in the business with his uncle.
In addition to being the co-owner of Auto Bumper Exchange, Inc., Mr. Lake works as a Fire/Arson Investigator in Allen County, Indiana, and is a Special Deputy with the Allen County Police Department. He is currently the Chief of the Allen County Fire Arson Specialized Team and an active member of the Allen County Juvenile Fire Setters Task Force, counseling juvenile fire setters and their families. In August of 2006, he was awarded Fire Investigator of the Year in Indianapolis, IN, by the International Association of Arson Investigators. He attributes his success to his dedication, loyalty, and honesty.
Mr. Lake is a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator through the National Association of Fire Investigators and a Certified Fire Investigator through the International Association of Arson Investigators. He is an Internationally Accredited Fire Investigator 1 through the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress. In addition, he is Pro Board Certified as a Fire Investigator NFPA 1033, through the National Board of Fire Services Professional Qualifications. Mr. Lake plans to continue his education in fire investigation and aspires to venture into criminal justice and law enforcement.
Mr. Lake is a member the Certified Automotive Parts Association, the Automotive Body Parts Association, the Law Enforcement and Emergency Services Video Association, the International Fire Photographers Association, the International Fire Marshals Association, the National Fire Protection Association, the National Association of Fire Investigators, International Association of Arson Investigators and the Indiana Volunteer Firefighters Association.
