Mr. Colbert was welcomed to the brokerage in May as part of the O'Connor/Hebson Group. The group was established in late spring by top-producing Chicago agents Barbara O'Connor and Colin Hebson. They specialize in North Side residential sales and development marketing.
As a member of the O'Connor/Hebson Group, Mr. Colbert offers clients a line on many of the emerging residential developments in the city. The group represents several condo buildings, as well as single-family home complexes. Dream Town has expanded rapidly in recent months. The brokerage is taking on a number of new agents and increasing its listings. Plans for a fourth location are in progress and are expected to be finished later this year. The new branch is being built-out by Dream Town Builders, the company's new home construction and remodeling division. It will incorporate elements of green design and energy-saving features.
"We try to integrate green building alternatives in our projects whenever possible," said President of Dream Town Realty Yuval Degani, who founded the brokerage with Avi Ron, lead partner of Dream Town Builders. "We intend to use recycled flooring, bamboo products, water-conserving fixtures and toilets, and other eco-friendly options in our new office, which will serve as the headquarters for the O'Connor/Hebson Group."
Mr. Colbert comes to Dream Town with a wealth of knowledge in real estate financing. Before transitioning to the agency side, he was a mortgage banker. His previous experience has proven a major advantage for clients, especially those who do not have 20% to put down and need to explore other options to secure a loan. Joffre Colbert majored in Speech and Communication at University of Illinois, where he is currently continuing his education. He was part of the school's Big Ten Baseball Championship team in 2000.
