LONG ISLAND CITY, NY September 27, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Christopher Flach's film "Madeleine Castaing," is the 34 minute documentary that explores the personality, influence and style of the French decorator and antique dealer. The film celebrates Castaing's neoclassical taste in decor and her glamorous appearance even into her 90s. The film reintroduces her taste for Napoleon III furnishings and 18th century English furniture to collectors of art and design. The film also explores, Castaing's close relationship to Chaim Soutine, a frequent houseguest at the Castaing country home in Lèves. Soutine's 1929 portrait of Madeleine is now in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum.
