Ms. Fernando started her career in banking and finance, working for the ANZ Bank and the Reserve Bank of Australia. Ms. Fernando received a bachelor of economics (honours) in economics, marketing, government studies, economic history and philosophy in 1997 from the University of Sydney. She is also a published author and staged playwright.
