Claus Andrup Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Mineral Exploration

    MAPLE RIDGE, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA, January 7, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Claus Andrup, Chief Executive Officer for OHG Resources Inc., has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in mineral exploration.

Mr. Andrup has 31 years of entrepreneurial experience, with three years in his current role as CEO of the privately held company OHG Resources Inc., of which he is the founder. He is an expert in public relations, communications, marketing, advertising and mineral exploration. His duties include helping startup companies in the resource industry, defining and looking for assets, searching for funding, focusing on African business, networking with geologists and mining professionals, and finding land that may hold resources.

Mr. Andrup began working in corporate communications, advertising, marketing and public relations in 1971. As a public relations consultant in the United Kingdom, he numbered among his clients ICL Dataskil, The National Computing Center, Thompson National Transport (TNT), the Swedish Pulp and Paper Industry, Grosvenor Estates Commercial Developments, Stephens & Carter, and Simon Construction.

In 1981, Mr. Andrup became engaged in financing several European and U.K. ventures, ranging from mining, oil and gas, insurance, and interactive television to luxury shipbuilding. In early 1990, he was appointed president of Vancouver-listed Fair Harbour Mining Corporation.

In 1992, he founded boat builder Cape Marine Corporation, now Andrup Corporate Consultants, Inc. ACCI aims to help principals of small business develop their enterprises. He has served on the boards of several junior resource companies.

Mr. Andrup co-founded Minera Cortez Resources Ltd. in 1999. The company is known today as Western Wind Energy Corporation (TSX Venture Exchange symbol WND). He remains on the board of Western Wind as an independent director and serves on the company's audit, disclosure and governance committees.

In 2007, Mr. Andrup founded Oretech Resources Inc., a junior exploration company with gold and silver properties in Chile, which merged with TSX-listed Capital Pool Corporation Hedger Capital Corp. in November 2009. In addition, Mr. Andrup is a co-founding director of Greenbriar Capital Corp., a TSX-V listed capital pool corporation, which completed its initial public offering in October 2009.

In May 2012 Mr. Andrup became a founding director of Pepcap Ventures Inc., a Capital Pool Company listed on the Toronto Venture Exchange and formed to evaluate businesses or assets with a view to completing a Qualifying Transaction. The company's intention is to identify and acquire coal assets in the international arena, significantly in Asia and Africa.

An active community leader in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Mr. Andrup has interacted meaningfully with politicians and district staff for more than a decade. He has served on the Community Heritage Commission and the district's Economic Advisory Commission. Mr. Andrup served as moderator for the Whonnock-Thornhill all candidates meeting in 2005, was a steering committee member for Building Community Solutions in Maple Ridge in 2005, and was a proponent and project leader in the district's highly successful SmartGrowth on the Ground downtown redevelopment initiative. Mr. Andrup was, moreover, the chairman of the Election Readiness Committee of the Conservative Party of Canada from 2006 to 2007 and the chairman of the Communications Committee Addictions Task Force in Maple Ridge the same years. He was president of the Maple Ridge Historical Society from 2008 until 2009. His long-time dedication was recognized with the Spirit of Community and Good Neighbor Family Award from the District of Maple Ridge in 2010.

He became involved in his profession to become a true entrepreneur. He is a risk-taker and opportunist who started working in natural resources at the outset of his career. The most significant work he has done is the formation of Western Wind Energy and its success, which he attributes to his being very straightforward and providing good communications.

He studied journalism in Cape Town, South Africa, and marketing and behavioral sciences at Metropolitan College, London Polytechnic and the London School of Economics. He received a diploma in communications, advertising and marketing from the London Metropolitan College. He is a member of and president of Strata LMS 0752. Looking toward the future, Mr. Andrup intends to build a successful mining entity in Africa.

Mr. Andrup began playing soccer for a local team, the Thistles, in 1997, and has played for local teams since. He currently plays for the Witch of Endor, a sponsored over-50s team, as a defender.
