    STONY BROOK, NY, October 2, 2009 /Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Constance 'Conky' Nostrand, Project Staff Associate at Stony Brook University Child Care Services, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in child care operations.

As a project staff associate at Stony Brook University Child Care Services, Inc., Ms. Nostrand is responsible for teaching three- to five-year-old children, instructing interns on child care development at SUNY Stony Brook, storytelling, redirecting and challenging children. She was invited to travel to Russia to participate with People to People as an early childhood specialist. She attributes her success to her ability to guide children in the right direction and make them more independent.

Ms. Nostrand received her master's degree in liberal arts with a major in elementary education from SUNY Stony Brook and her bachelor of arts in elementary education from Dowling College. A member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, she intends to retire and would like to publish her children's stories.
