Instead of allowing humiliation and restrictions on the use of social media and online transactions to hinder her dedication to supporting US troops, Emma decided to start her own organization named Treats 2 Troops to
send care packages to soldiers.
"They are fighting for us and they are in a strange place. I just want to send cookies to let them know we love them. I know lots of other people want a chance to help too," said Emma.
The goal of Treats 2 Troops (
http://treats2troops.org/) is to bring "a taste of home" to US military soldiers serving overseas in the form of care packages stuffed with Oreo cookies, premium coffee, necessity items, and letters, drawings, and photos from those wish to donate.
"To Emma, the care packages she's helping to deliver are not than just cookies and coffee, but a reminder of home and an opportunity to show our troops that they are loved, appreciated, and remembered," said Kimberly Reynolds, Emma's mother.
Emma wants to make it possible for everyone to donate support in one way or another. Whether it's in the form of a letter, a drawing, or a cash donation that is applied toward the purchase and shipment of a care package to a soldier, Emma is making it easy for everyone who appreciates the work the US troops are doing to give back.
