Operating out of Longboat Key, Fla., Norris can now provide his clients with the most up-to-date listing information, as well as helpful IDX tools, to simplify the property search. Using Internet Data Exchange (IDX) technology, raw listing data is extracted from Mid Florida Regional MLS (MFRMLS) and formatted to be displayed as an integrated part of Norris's site.
With the addition of this IDX solution, clients can now search through thousands of listings on MFRMLS quickly and easily, using five different search forms: basic, advanced, map, address, and listing ID. An interactive map powered by Google maps allows clients of Norris to view properties pinpointed on a road, satellite, or terrain map. Advanced search categories such as acres, garage, waterfront, and pool help clients narrow down their results.
Clients can elect to save their searches and sign up to receive automatic email updates when properties matching their specifications become available on MFRMLS. The administrative section of IDX Broker gives Norris access to client contact information and saved search criteria so he can personally follow up with the client and complete the sale. This custom IDX solution also helps him to manage his business more efficiently with the use of traffic reports that detail which pages on his website are being visited most frequently.
