BOSTON, MA, January 7, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Daniel D. Do-Dai, Chief of Neuroradiology at Tufts Medical Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellent in all aspect of medicine.
Dr. Do-Dai has eighteen years of professional experience in Diagnostic Radiology. He completed his Neuroradiology Fellowship at Tufts-New England Medical Center and was board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology with Certificate Added Qualification in Neuroradiology by the American Board of Radiology. Dr. Do-Dai sub-specializes in Neuroradiology with expertise in brain, head & neck and spine imaging, including CT, CTA, MRI, MRA, MR Spectroscopy, functional MRI, diffuse tensor imaging with fibertractography, diffusion and perfusion imaging and myelography. He has special interest in brain and spinal tumors. Dr. Do-Dai is the senior member of the American Society of Neuroradiology. He is also an assistant professor of Radiology at Tufts University School of Medicine and an associated program director of the combined Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Tufts Medical Center Neuroradiology Fellowship. Prior to returning to Tufts Medical Center, Dr. Do-Dai was a partner of a successful private practice group, Blue Ridge Radiology in Bristol, TN. However, he felt working in an academic environment suited him best. He attributes his success to his hard work and passion for his profession.
Dr. Do-Dai came to the United States in 1979 after his successful escape from Vietnam as a boat person when he was a teenager. He was inspired by a doctor whom he met in the refugee camp in Thailand to pursue his own career in the medical field. He received a BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Magna cum Laude, from Tufts University in 1986 and his MD degree at Tufts University School of Medicine in 1990. Upon completion of his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Madigan Army Medical Center in 1995, he was appointed chief of ultrasound at Tripler Army Medical Center when he was stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii. He served in the U.S. Army for eight years during which he had several publications in radiology journals and received several awards and honors. Dr. Do-Dai received an honorable discharge from the US Army at the rank of Major and was awarded a Meritorious Service Medal for his excellent service in the U.S. Army in 1998.
