ROCHESTER, NY, August 23, 2012
/Worldwide Who's Who/ -- Daniel H. Welch, the Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer of Hospitality 101, Inc., a company that develops and markets CaterTrax, has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year in Catering & Foodservice Operations Management. While inclusion in Worldwide Who's Who is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Who's Who membership.
No stranger to hard work, perseverance, discipline and finding the opportunity inside of the problem, Daniel Welch became actively involved in family restaurant operations soon after graduating from St. Bonaventure University in 1992 with a bachelor's degree in finance. To date, he has amassed more than 20 years of professional experience, which includes having held positions as a restaurant owner, vice president of operations for a successful multi-unit regional restaurant organization, controller for a building materials distributor and a director of advertising for a print media company.
While working in these roles, Mr. Welch learned the value of protecting the quality of a brand, developing loyal and hard-working employees and discovered how important it is to remain patient and stick to a well-developed plan while in the midst of stressful business situations. Beginning in 2000, he was also working to help launch the CaterTrax technology platform, which became a full-time commitment in July 2008. Currently, Mr. Welch's primary focus is on managing the CaterTrax enterprise and expertly supporting a team of talented and motivated leaders who share the same desire to turn CaterTrax into a world-class organization. An expert in logistics, product development, commercialization, strategic planning and execution, Mr. Welch is tasked with overseeing the daily operations of his company, which includes establishing and implementing business and financial models. By analyzing strategic relationships and developing and improving internal processes, Mr. Welch is on the right track toward continually expanding his company's client base.
Mr. Welch understands that managing client approvals for menus and pricing, in addition to implementing marketing campaigns, limited time offers, and promotions for multiple locations can be difficult for caterers and foodservice professionals without access to the proper tools. Thus, the robust enterprise-level management platform that is CaterTrax delivers significant value as a customizable web-based solution for delivering a company's brand on the internet, providing an easy to use system for updating menus, publishing content, exporting and integrating data to produce operational management business reports in a timely manner. CaterTrax, and its 'built BY caterers... FOR caterers' mentality allows businesses to better communicate to customers the services they offer, streamlines customer-managed online ordering capabilities and helps manage kitchen production and delivery methods.
Already responsible for supporting more than 2,000 clients with his company's software-as-a-service (SaaS) technology platform, Mr. Welch is actively involved in implementing additional strategic relationships that will prepare the company for reaching the next level of growth. In the future, he intends to establish a consulting firm to assist professional food service operators in their quest to improve the profitability of their businesses. By leveraging technology to drive process improvement and efficiency, he looks forward to creating new and exciting ways for their customers to do business with them.
Away from the demands of his work, Mr. Welch always finds time to spend with his wife as they enjoy attending school and sporting events of their four children. He also enjoys coaching youth football and baseball for community youth organizations in Avon, NY, and in warm weather, he can often be found boating with his family on one of Rochester's Finger Lakes.
