-- Darlene Winston, General Manager of People and Partner Strategy of SNP, has been recognized by Worldwide Branding for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in her profession.
Ms. Winston has 15 years of experience in the cultural change environment. In her current role of six months, her duties are overseeing strategy in terms of service delivery and working with the managing director on strategy delivery, on multimillion dollar contracts. She is leading the people and culture team and the partner strategy team. Her team consists of 19 employees across both areas. In the future, she intends to go back into business strategy and be known in her business community as one who is able to deliver change in any sector.
She has been successful because of the people she surrounds herself with, as well as her ability to build a great team. She became involved in her profession because of her prior experiences. Security is unique, and she feels she can bring something fundamentally different to the field, as she is a women in a predominantly male business.
A four-time graduate of Charles Sturt University, Ms. Winston earned a master's degree in human resources and a postgraduate degree in commerce, e-commerce and organization communications. She also holds an honorary diploma in management from the Frontline Management Institute, and earned a bachelor's degree in business from UTS.
Recently inducted into Worldwide Branding, she also maintains affiliations as a mentor with PropellHer, a female mentoring organization for females in banking and finance, and serves on the advisory board of the iLead Talent Exchange. She also belongs to the Australian Institute of Management. She supports The Smith Family Challenge which is about providing learning to underprivileged children in school.
