DC Fashion Event Pairs Up with Georgetown University MSPP Project Honduras to Bring Awareness to Poverty in Roatan

Help make a difference this holiday season.



    WASHINGTON, DC, December 11, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kamisol Accessories & Fashion Consultancy will be hosting a fashion event on December 11, 2013 from 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM (EST). This exclusive event will be held at the original BusBoys and Poets on 14th and V St. in Washington, D.C.

The event Kamisol Fashion for a Cause Call to Action is focused on bringing awareness to the lack of resources and poverty that prevails the families and children in Roatan, Honduras. Proceeds from this event will go to a Georgetown University MSPP Project Honduras, an organization that uses their policy skills to implement service and development projects. Donations from this event will also go to providing clothing, shoes and educational material for the children of Roatan.

Fashion enthusiast will have the opportunity to pay it forward while enjoying an evening of live entertainment and free gifts. There will be a silent auction, a choreographed dance performance in honor of the children of Roatan, as well as an exciting unveiling of the Kamisol Fashion for a Cause Call to Action photo shoot pictures featuring clothing from Doncaster and Definition Boutique. Robin Finnell Wardrobe Stylist of Doncaster is also the sponsor for this event.

Squires, the President of Lend-a-Hand Uplift-a-Child Foundation and Lisa Kratz Thomas, an inductee into this years First Lady of Virginia's Opportunity Hall of Fame (FLITE) and author of a highly acclaimed book, This is Your Life-Not a Dress Rehearsal.

Gigi McMillan, President and Founder of Kamisol Accessories and Fashion Consultancy is the visionary behind this event. After vacationing with her family in Roatan, Honduras Gigi noticed an underlining issue of poverty amongst the families in the community as well as the lack of educational resources.
