NEW HAMPTON, NY, March 6, 2013 /Worldwide Who's Who/
-- Debbie Carroll, Director of Outpatient Diagnostic Imaging for Orange Regional Medical Center, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in diagnostic imaging.
Ms. Carroll has 30 years of experience in diagnostic imaging, and she became the Director of Outpatient Diagnostic Imaging for Orange Regional Medical Center in May 2012. She is an expert in nuclear medicine, diagnostic imagery and efficient and effective departmental operations. In an average day, she is responsible for overseeing the hospital's Diagnostic Imaging, MRI and Ultrasound Departments, and all day-to-day operations at the outpatient site. She also directs and implements management strategies for the provision of diagnostic imaging services. Ms. Carroll encourages a high level of customer service among her staff, and as a result, her department is regularly evaluated above the national average in this regard.
Ms. Carroll attributes her success to her passion for her job and the industry, as well as having a great mentor. With a predilection for chemistry and physics in high school, Ms. Carroll became interested in nuclear medicine in the '70s, and earned a Bachelor of Science in the subject from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1984. She also earned a Master of Health Administration in health care administration, and management from the University of Phoenix in 2008. In years to come, she plans to continue in her current venue and then teach at the college level or in a consulting position.
The diagnostic imaging services provided by Orange Regional Medical Center are state of the art and reduce the need for patients in the Hudson Valley to have to travel outside of the area for diagnosis and treatment. These services include nuclear medicine, MRI, radiology, CT and ultrasound. Orange Regional is a nonprofit hospital that was formed by the merger of Arden Hill Hospital and Horton Medical Center. It moved into a new facility in 2011, the first new hospital built in New York State in more than 20 years. With 353 private patient rooms, the seven-floor hospital employs more than 2,400 health care professionals. It also operates several outpatient facilities, including the Orange Regional Medical Pavilion in Middletown.
