    MIDWAY, FL, October 13, 2009 /Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Councilwoman Delores C. Madison, Councilwoman for the City of Midway, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in finance, management, and government.

As Councilwoman for the City of Midway, Delores C. Madison is committed to resolving issues of residents, interacting with city managers, networking with other municipalities, community involvement, and communicating with Florida Senators and House of Representatives. Ms. Madison worked with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for five years, as an auditor for 15 years, and is currently working with the Agency for Workforce Innovation. She became involved in her profession because she felt it was a calling from the Lord, and she attributes her success to her vision, listening skills and ability to set and achieve goals.

Ms. Madison received her Bachelor's Degrees in Economics, Accounting and Business Education from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and her diploma from Amos P. Godby High School. She is the President of the Gadsden County Democratic Black Caucus, Chairperson of the Apalachee Regional Planning Council, and a member of the Capital Region Transportation Planning Agency, the Florida League of Cities Insurance and Pension Trust, the Florida League of Cities Urban Planning Policy Committee, the Northwest Florida League of Cities, the Leon Court of Calanthe #4, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, the Order of the Eastern Star, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Gadsden County Juvenile Justice Council, and Gadsden County Habitat for Humanity.
