Denise J. Blevins, LSW Honored by Cambridge Publishing

    MOSCOW, ID, March 2, 2010, Denise J. Blevins, LSW, Resource Family Development Specialist for Latah County Youth Services, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of family development services.

With more than 25 years of experience in the field of social services, Denise J. Blevins is uniquely positioned to oversee resource family development services for Latah County, Idaho. At her post, she excels in the recruitment and education of foster parents. In addition to conducting background checks, training and home studies, Ms. Blevins utilizes her expertise to verify the eligibility of potential foster families. She enjoys working in a field where she is able to collaborate with others, and considers ensuring that children have a safe place to live to be the most rewarding aspect of her career.

In recognition of vocational excellence, Ms. Blevins was deemed "Line Worker of the Year" by the Idaho Juvenile Justice Association in September 2009. She was also named "Professional of the Year" by Cambridge Publishing for the 2009/2010 year and was inducted into the registry as a VIP member in 2008.

Ms. Blevins holds a bachelor of arts in sociology from the University of Idaho, earned in 1983. She serves as chairwoman of the Idaho Juvenile Justice Commission grants and ethics committees, and is professionally affiliated with the Idaho Juvenile Justice Association and the Idaho Juvenile Justice Commission. Looking ahead, Ms. Blevins intends to pursue her master's degree and attain a more prestigious position with Latah County.
