DFW Elite Toy Museum is located at the
DFW Elite Auto Rental facility, 5960 Eden, Haltom City, Texas, near
Fort Worth. Featuring extremely rare toy cars and one-off scale models from around the world, the museum represents part of the personal collection of
Ron Sturgeon, Texas entrepreneur, author, investor, and owner of
DFW Elite Auto Rental.com.
"I've been collecting these vintage automotive toys for over 20 years," says
Sturgeon. "I am so excited to share what we have with fellow auto enthusiasts and toy lovers. I'm proud of our collection and even prouder to be bringing it to the public free of charge in our new
DFW Elite Toy Museum."
According to toy museum Curator
Rodney Ross, the toy collection numbers 2,682 items, and new items and artifacts are added regularly. "Our collection consists mostly of model cars and appeals primarily to adult auto enthusiasts," says Ross.
"We've put a lot of effort into creating a fun 'virtual experience' for auto enthusiasts, modelers and collectors at our new online museum," says
Ron Sturgeon. Located at
DFWEliteToyMuseum.com, the website includes hundreds of pictures, detailed descriptions and the inside story on how many of the rare toys came to be in the museum.
Major categories of cars on display include
German 'driving school' models,
tin cars,
construction equipment toys, World War II models,

The museum is open Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, and Saturday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. The museum's location inside the showroom of
