Donna Armstrong Lackey, EDFP, Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who

Ms. Armstrong Lackey has helped raise more than $62 million in public funding for Georgia communities



    CARROLLTON, GA, September 19, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Donna Armstrong Lackey, EDFP, Vice President of Business Development for the Carroll County Economic Development Foundation, has been recognized as a Professional of the Year for 2011-2012 by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in business and community development.

Ms. Armstrong Lackey brings experience, expertise and a record of success to the Carroll County Economic Development Foundation. As vice president of business development, Ms. Armstrong Lackey is primarily responsible for managing the daily operation of The Burson Center, a business resource center and incubator that serves a seven-county area. She not only facilitates the center's smooth operation, but also manages all communications and marketing for Carroll Tomorrow and the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce.

Backed by nearly three decades of combined professional experience, Ms. Armstrong Lackey shines as an expert on strategic planning, public funding procurement, governmental affairs, public relations, technical and creative writing, and group facilitation. During her career, she has helped raise more than $62 million in public funding for Georgia communities. In recognition of her efforts, she was a 2001 Leadership Georgia participant.

Ms. Armstrong Lackey formerly spent 10 years in the regional government planning industry. She owned a community development consulting business for 10 years, serving governments, businesses and nonprofits throughout the state of Georgia. She also served for seven years as the president and chief executive officer of the Development Authority of Heard County and the Heard County Chamber of Commerce. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in communications and public relations from Shorter University, a Master of Public Administration from the University of West Georgia, and accreditation as an Economic Development Financial Professional from the National Development Council. She remains abreast of trends and developments as a member of the Georgia Economic Developers Association, NBIA, the International Economic Development Council and the Rotary Club of Carrollton, a subsidiary of Rotary International.
