A specialist in the field of nursing, Ms. Whitfield is proud to have had the opportunity to care for others and provide a solid education for nursing students throughout her career. She notes that her experiences gave her the motivation for "knowing patients and caring for the whole patient." An avid humanitarian, she established a High Point ministry called Golden Girls, driven by the goal to feed the homeless. Ms. Whitfield received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Winston Salem State University and her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Shaw University.
