Dr. Clare Fenwick, Ph.D. Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Health Care Education

Dr. Clare Fenwick, Ph.D. Applies Her 23 Years of Expertise in Nursing to Design Curricula and Enrich Others



    Darwin, Australia, January 10, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Clare Fenwick, Ph.D., a senior lecturer at the Northern Territory Medical School for Flinders University, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in health care education.

Dr. Fenwick became involved in her profession after she had surgery. She was not allowed to work afterwards, saw how the hospital grows and operates, and decided to follow an educational path to become a part of the health care system. Eventually, she built up so much experience in the health care educational field, she stuck with that career path.

She has worked at Fatima College, Griffith University for six years, and the Western Institute of Technology at Taranaki for two years. She has gained more than 23 years of experience in nursing. With exemplary Clinical skills, she is responsible for creating curriculum, Lecturing and Coordinating daily topics for students. In addition, she excels in tutoring, teaching and developing tutorial material. She attributes her success directly to the satisfaction that comes from being able to help people improve their lives. She is good at providing care and education — seeing people gain the skills to succeed is a treat.

Dr. Fenwick received a Ph.D. in philosophy in 2008 from Griffith University and a bachelor of nursing, with honors, in 1999 from Southern Cross University. In 1995, she earned a bachelor of health science in nursing, also from Southern Cross University. Dr. Fenwick has completed coursework in pain management, chronic wound care, trauma, respiratory and cardiac care, and dealing with conflict. She is a member of Palliative Care Australia and Australian Pain Society. Dr. Fenwick was distinguished for excellence in teaching by Griffith University. She was the recipient of the Merit Award from the Western Institute of Technology at Taranaki; and the Administrative Nursing Prize from Southern Cross University.
