Dr. Geoffrey W. Edelsten Honored for Accomplishments in Entrepreneurship

With 47 years of experience, Dr. Edelsten is recognized in Australia as the medical practitioner who changed the course of the country's medical system by commencing superclinics, automating pathology and providing 24-hour care. In his current role with Altels Management for three years, he is overseeing all business operations via the management company and conducting telephone meetings with those that assist in managing the company in the U.S. and abroad.

He is an accomplished entrepreneur with business ventures that span not just in Australia but in the United States as well. He the first owner of major sporting franchise Sydney Swans. He also owns a coal mining company and has investment properties consisting of 600 homes in Ohio. He plans on continuing to grow his business ventures worldwide. He also has been a substantial philanthropic contributor, having donated more than $3 million. He attributes his success to his hard work and ingenuity. He became involved in his profession because he has always been an entrepreneur looking to invest in new opportunities.

Dr. Edelsten received a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Melbourne in 1966. Subsequently, he earned seven master's degrees in law, business administration, family medicine, sports medicine, occupational health, science, and health services management from various Australian universities. Recently inducted into Worldwide Branding, he also maintains affiliations with the National Association of Corporate Directors. He supports the fight against cancer, the Carlton Football Foundation and Beyondblue.
