/Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Judith B. Bukberg, a psychiatrist in private practice, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of psychiatric care.
Dedicating her professional life to serving the needs of her patients, Dr. Bukberg has 28 years of experience. Her expertise lies in psychotherapy and psychopharmacology and her focus is on the interaction between biology and personality development, and the integration of psychotherapy with pharmacology. She treats late adolescents, young adults and adults with mood, anxiety and personality disorders as well as life crises including physical illness. Her longstanding interest in understanding and helping people inspired her to become involved in the healthcare industry. After completing her residency and fellowship, she was a member of the consultation-liaison service at Memorial Hospital, assisting people coping with cancer and its treatment. As head of the liaison service at St. Vincent's Hospital, she taught psychiatry residents and medical staff as well as conducting her own private practice. Dr. Bukberg is also clinical associate professor at New York Medical College.
Dr. Bukberg received her medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She completed her residency in psychiatry at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and her fellowship in consultation-liaison psychiatry at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Bukberg holds certification in psychoanalysis through the New York Psychoanalytic Institute and she is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the American Psychoanalytic Association and the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology.
